Our beverage program brings the same thoughtfulness to the glass as the kitchen brings to the plate. Cocktails and non-alcoholic offerings are crafted in-house with house-batched syrups and layered flavors, designed to surprise, refresh, and harmonize with the meal.
Desserts at Alkemē reflect a Vietnamese approach to sweetness—one that favors fruit, gentle sweetness, and texture over richness. These dishes invite guests to experience familiar ingredients in new ways, offering flavors and textures that feel light, balanced, and true to the spirit of the kitchen.
The Velvet Lantern Social (VLS) is Alkemē’s twice-monthly dining experience, held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. Inspired by the Vietnamese tradition of nhậu, these evenings are festive and social, with food designed for sharing and connection. Guests are welcome to join by reservation or walk-in and may be seated at communal tables.
The VLS menu offers a more playful and exploratory expression of the kitchen, distinct from our regular dinner menu. Rotating offerings alongside standing favorites allow for freshness, spontaneity, and creative experimentation.
The Velvet Lantern Social celebrates the joy of eating together and the belief that food is best experienced in good company—whether arriving solo or with friends.
Dining at Alkemē is a unique culture-to-table experience. Our food menu is Asian heritage cuisine reimagined. Chef-Owner Hue-Chan Karels and Executive Chef Erica Tai are reinterpreting heirloom recipes from their culinary roots of Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea, and Hawaii’s Pacific Rim to create dishes that are innovative yet steeped in tradition and culture. If you’ve enjoyed Open Kitchen Events, you will love Alkemē.
