Vietnamese Heritage, In Motion
Alkemē is a Vietnamese heritage kitchen shaped by movement, as food travels with people, memory, and place.
In Santa Fe, The City Different, Alkemē offers something distinct. Our cooking carries the essence of Vietnamese cuisine forward in its own voice—familiar, open, and inviting guests to gather at the table.

Notes From Our Guests
Alkemē is not just a fine dining restaurant, it’s a new and different kind of lifestyle
– FINE LIFESTYLES
Every dish is a work of art, a harmonious blend of flavors that dances on the palate and stirs the soul. Alkemē isn’t just about food; it’s about evoking emotions, igniting passion, and celebrating the alchemy of exquisite dining.
– ROBYN TARYN
Alkemē was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation’s “Best New Restaurant” award, a national honor… Alkemē is among the top restaurants to launch in 2023 across the entire country. That’s a tremendous accomplishment considering much of the competition came from the country’s culinary hotbeds.

Alkame in Santa Fe is a testament to how personal connection takes dining somewhere extraordinary. Chef-owner Hue-Chan’s warmth and attention to detail shine through everything – from remembering my name and details from a previous visit, to her thoughtfully crafted dishes. During their Chinese New Year tasting, my partner and I felt less like restaurant guests and more like welcomed friends in someone’s home. The cuisine matches the exceptional hospitality. Each dish demonstrates a masterful balance of flavors that are both sophisticated and clean, reflecting Hue-Chan’s clear culinary vision. It’s no surprise she was one of few James Beard Award finalists in New Mexico. Her passion for both food and genuine hospitality creates an experience that transcends typical fine dining. This is a restaurant that continues to evolve while maintaining its heart. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to see how Hue-Chan’s culinary concept develops further. Thank you for the experience.

Velvet Lantern Social @ Alkemē
The Velvet Lantern Social (VLS) is Alkemē’s twice-monthly dining experience, held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. Inspired by the Vietnamese tradition of nhậu, these evenings are festive and social, with food designed for sharing and connection. Guests are welcome to join by reservation or walk-in and may be seated at communal tables.
